September has this slight taste of a fresh start. ✨
Alarm clocks are going off again, school bags are finding their way back to school, planners are filling up, and our little rituals are slowly falling back into place.
And if there is one we couldn't do without at CaminaTea, it is definitely the cup of tea. 🫖
The one that wakes us up in the morning, keeps us company throughout our days, turns our 4pm break into a little gourmet moment, or simply invites us to slow down once the day is done.
So, which tea should you choose for the start of the school year? A bold black tea upon waking, a gourmet green tea for the morning break, an oolong for teatime, a fruity infusion to extend the summer, and an evening herbal tea to help you unwind...
We have come up with a short selection of 5 "Tea Times" to accompany every moment of your day... and make September much softer. 🩷
Which tea should you choose for the start of the school year? It all depends on the time of day
At CaminaTea, we don't really have a favorite tea... we have favorite teas for whatever time it is. 🫖
And in September, even more than the rest of the year. It's a funny sort of month: the mornings are already chillier, the lunch hours still smell of summer, and the evenings are slowly getting shorter. Our desires follow the same path.
We aren't looking for the same thing in our cup at 7am, when we need to get back into the rhythm of the new school year, as we are at 9pm, when the house becomes quiet again.
So, if you are wondering which tea to choose for the start of the school year, here are our recommendations for a gentle month of September:
-
Upon waking, around 7am → a well-perfumed black tea, rich in theine, the kind that supports you through the first days of school and difficult wake-ups.
-
Mid-morning, around 10:30am → a gourmet green tea, just what you need to take a five-minute breather between tasks.
-
At teatime, 4pm → a round, milky oolong, the little afternoon treat.
-
All day long, as long as the weather is nice → an iced fruity infusion, caffeine-free, to carry with you in your water bottle.
-
After dinner → a herbal infusion, the one that accompanies the end of your day without keeping you awake.
Of course, these are only our guidelines: the best "back-to-school" tea is the one you feel like having in the moment. 🩷
A September day punctuated by Tea Time
We are taking you along with us on a "back-to-school" day at CaminaTea, from the first wake-up to the last cup at night.
1. Morning tea to get back into good waking habits
When the alarm goes off a bit too early again, nothing beats a good black tea to start the day.
Our Earl Grey du Château, our great classic with bergamot, is one of those teas we love to come back to in the morning: elegant, perfumed, and comforting, it can be enjoyed just as well at breakfast at home as at the office.
Its theine is an advantageous substitute for coffee, its citrus notes awaken the taste buds, and the steaming cup placed next to your toast is enough to start the day with a smile.
A lovely way to get back into the rhythm without giving up your little moment for yourself.
The perfect moment: at breakfast or upon arriving at work.
2. The little morning tea break for a gentle start
A full morning, a few emails, a to-do list... and already the craving for a little break.
Our green tea Noisette Citronnée plays on that contrast we love at CaminaTea: the gourmandise of hazelnut met by a fresher, lemony touch.
Less loaded with theine than a black tea, while remaining invigorating, it is the ideal companion for mornings when you are just starting back. A tip: prepare it with shimmering rather than boiling water; the green tea leaves will keep all their gentleness.
A perfect tea to accompany the start of the season and give yourself a few minutes just for you between two obligations.
The perfect moment: around 10:30am, when a little break becomes necessary.
3. Our 4pm Tea Time special for the return to work
There are back-to-school habits that we find again with pleasure... and teatime is clearly one of them.
The Milky Oolong is our choice for this break: a round, soft, and deliciously gourmand tea with milky, almost sweet notes, ideal when the craving for a little treat strikes in the afternoon.
It can be enjoyed plain, without sugar, and goes wonderfully with a square of chocolate or the after-school snacks of children returning from school.
A lovely cup, a few quiet minutes, and Tea Time can begin.
The perfect moment: at 4pm, obviously. 🩷
4. The infusion to extend summer in September
On the French Riviera, the sun and the still-gentle days really make us want to make summer last a few weeks longer.
So before we fully bring out the autumn flavors, we're keeping Mademoiselle à la Plage a little longer by our side.
This fruity infusion with notes of strawberry, peach, pineapple, and hibiscus is the scent of sunny days and is best enjoyed iced in a water bottle. And since it is caffeine-free, the whole family can drink it from morning to night: slip a bottle into a schoolbag or a gym bag for a healthier alternative to sugary back-to-school drinks. Our homemade iced tea recipe shows you how to prepare it in a few minutes.
The perfect moment: throughout the day, to make the vacation last a little longer.
5. The infusion for your autumn evening ritual
The kids are in bed, the computer is finally closed, and the house is slowly returning to quiet...
This is perhaps our favorite cup of the day.
The Douce Nuit Roquebrunoise infusion accompanies those few minutes when we finally slow down and the day gives way to a softer evening. Olive leaves from our beautiful region, verbena, linden flowers, thyme, rosemary, and a hint of lemon: a caffeine-free blend of plants, thoughtfully crafted for cooling evenings and longer nights.
A cup, a sofa, a few pages of a book, and a touch of honey... and there’s no more rush.
The perfect moment: after dinner, to end the day gently.
And you? What will your back-to-work/school tea time be?
Morning tea, a quick break at the office, a 4 p.m. snack, or an evening cup?
The return to the routine marks the comeback of schedules, agendas, and busy days. But it can also be an opportunity to rediscover the little rituals that make us feel good.
At CaminaTea, we are big believers in them. 🩷
So in September, we get back into the rhythm... one cup at a time.
